I am first and foremost a (single) mother to a lively, inquisitive seven-year old boy. The diversity of motherhood and the joys and challenges associated with raising a child, forms a large part of the life I choose to lead at present.
I recently moved back to my hometown, Atlantis, where I was raised from the age of six to completion of school in 1989. I have long envisaged initiating an abundance consciousness movement in the poverty-oriented, previously disadvantaged, community of my youth. In retuning as a resident, it will finally become a reality in 2008.
Though my formal education and career was in scientific disciplines, mainly genetics, molecular– and microbiology, I have had a lifelong interest in life-enhancing practices such as self-improvement, psychology and spirituality.
The demanding nature of my professional life ensured a thorough training in communication, presentation, problem-solving and project management skills through lecturing and tutoring students, as well as participation in academic research and commercial product development.
Behind the professional scenes resilience, compassion, courage, forgiveness and serenity were fostered through continuous study of the life skills of successful people. As a consequence, I have been involved in informal mentoring of students and colleagues for most of my post-graduate life.
In 2007, I traded a career in life sciences for one in the science of living with the establishment of DNActive Consulting, a life coaching practice.
Enhanced by the New Insights Life Coach Training, I am now teaching the very same principles which have contributed to my own personal development, through one-on-one coaching, small group mentoring programs and workshops.
My life philosophy is simple: “Youth makes ten years seem eternity, while it vanishes modestly...make the most of what you have today!”
I am confident that you too will be amazingly inspired by that which allowed me to achieve fulfillment in life, regardless of trials and challenges.
